Same reason I love Soft Cells Non-stop Erotic Cabaret. The album cover makes me laugh. The bananas. The coming of adulthood and ending of youth. The realization that New York is not my home, just like Jim Croce. It speaks to the anger one may realize after the illusion of marketing clears and the beginning of the search for self versus other. At least that's what happens in my head while listening to it.
